Rusted Shutter | FIXED!

In my latest video I take on the restoration of a 1950s Kodak Reflex (US Version). I've repaired a few of these by this point, but this one had a rusted shutter that needed repair. I was able to get it working again. The camera is a pretty straightforward repair when it comes to taking it apart, thankfully. The only issue I have here is the winding knobs on the bottom. Like the faceplate, they can't be removed easily. The faceplate is riveted in through the shutter mechanism so it would have to be drilled out and I don't have the experience to quite fix that yet. In the case of the winding knobs, the two plastic knobs don't just pop right off or unscrew. This one is missing a knob so I'll need to make a mold and manufacture a replacement at some point. I think I'll need to dismantle the winding mechanism itself which is terrifying because, if it's anything like other winding knobs, there's tiny springs and bearings waiting to pop out and are a nuisance to get back in.

Anyway, I was able to to clean and repair the shutter for this video. Check it out and let me know what you think!
