Kodak Tourist 1 & 2

(1948-1958) The Kodak Tourist was the last of American-made folding roll film cameras by Eastman Kodak. It included a range of models at different price points, with notable versions featuring the Anastar lens and Synchro-Rapid shutter. The Tourist II series, introduced in 1951, featured redesigned components but retained similar core specifications. The camera used 620 film, providing eight 2¼×3¼ inch exposures, and had a unique back that could be removed or opened from either side. It also offered an optional adapter kit for additional film formats, including 828 film. The cameras were well-built with aluminum alloy bodies and plastic top plates, and featured manual frame advancement, shutter cocking, and flash synchronization. Prices varied, with lower-end models costing as little as $24.50 and higher-end ones reaching $95.
